Confectionery production in Kharkov dates back to 1896, when a well-known manufacturer Georges Bormann, Supplier for Court of His Imperial Majesty, built a factory for production of chocolate in city.Today, confectionary factory "Kharkovchanka" not only keeps traditions and recipes of its founder, but also actively expands its product range, developing new types of confectionery products. Chocolate, chocolate sweets (including handmade), chocolate wafer cakes, nougat candies, marshmallows, marmalade and caramel all delight the consumers for second century.
Confectionery factory "Kharkovchanka" has full cycle of processing high-quality cocoa beans, supplied from Ganna and Cote d'Ivoire. All products of factory produced on modern equipment of best European companies with their own unique recipes, which allows maintaining high level of product quality.
Kharkov Biscuit Factory
"Kharkov Biscuit Factory" founded in 1935. It is specialized enterprise for production of flour confectionery products: biscuits, rolls, sets of biscuits, sand pies, cookies, crackers, wafer cakes, desserts, multi-layered wafers, wafer tubules.Modern history of Kharkov biscuit factory connected with introduction of innovative technologies, constant technical re-equipment and installation of equipment from best firms in the world, high quality of products, and expansion choice of goods.
Corporation "Biscuit - Chocolate"
In order to strengthen positions of enterprises in domestic and foreign markets, consolidate budget, strengthen sales, marketing and logistics activities in 2004, it was decided to create a corporation "Biscuit-Chocolate", which united Kharkov biscuit factory and confectionery factory "Kharkovchanka".Currently, corporation "Biscuit - Chocolate" takes fourth place in national rating among confectionery manufacturers and exports its products to 28 countries of world.
To confirm high quality of confectionery products produced by Kharkov biscuit factory and confectionery factory Kharkovchanka, quality management system and food safety systems certified for compliance with international standards ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 22000:2005, respectively. All the products of corporation are also certified in UkrSEPRO system and in national certification systems of Russian Federation and Kazakhstan.
In 2013, enterprises of corporation received certificates of compliance of their products with canons of Shariah according to norms of "Halal".
